NYC Hack: Getting Into The Vessel NYC Without a Ticket

How To Get Into The Vessel Without Getting a Personal Ticket Online?

The most important thing you need to know about visiting The Vessel in NYC is that you NEED a ticket in order to get inside. The first time I ever visit the Vessel, I didn’t know this and I found out the hard way.

There was absolutely no way that I came all the way to New York to visit the Vessel to not being able to get in. So I took a lap around the Vessel and came across a security guard that looked friendly enough to chat with me.

I went up to him and straight up told him that I came all the way from Jersey and was disappointed that I couldn’t get into the Vessel because I didn’t have a ticket. How was I supposed to know? Well, he told me not to repeat himself (I forgot his name so he’s good), but he told me that the the ticket guys in the front don’t always scan tickets. So, if I went to the exit of the Vessel and asked a kind soul to give me one of their tickets, I would be able to use that in the front.

I approached a family of 5 visiting from Switzerland if I could take one of their tickets. They wanted to vive me all their tickets, but I only needed one. They were gracious enough to even encourage me to continue to hustle my way through the Vessel because it was totally worth the experience! To the Switzerland family, if you are reading this, thank you so much for your help!

Once they gave me one of their tickets, I walked back to the front.

One the guys in the front laughed and said, “I remember you!”

I told him I remembered him too and that he can now remember me as the girl that finessed her way into the Vessel without getting a ticket online, laughed, and finally took my first steps into the intricate piece of art, The Vessel, NYC.

So if it wasn’t for my curiosity, I wouldn’t have been able to complete my mission and visit inside the Vessel in New York City. My visit was now complete and totally worth talking to a couple of strangers.
