If Weezer has influenced you enough to visit one of Los Angeles’ most popular districts, feel like a movie star while strolling through Beverly Hills. Even if you’re visiting Los Angeles without a car rental, no need to worry because most things listed are of walking distance.

Because whether you’re willing to get a solid workout or not, the district of Beverly Hills only stretches 5.71 miles long with a ton of fun things to do in between.

Although you don’t need to walk the entire area to hit every spot, you’ll get a fuller experience when walking through the most famous neighborhood in Los Angeles.

Perhaps you’re solo traveling and you don’t have anyone to visit Beverly Hills with. No need to worry because not only will you have a great time wandering by yourself, but you’ll also have a blast exploring some of entertainment’s most iconic spots.

Then, if you want to avoid bigger crowds and want to make the most out of your trip, the best times to visit Beverly Hills are either from March to May or September to November. Not only will you avoid blazing hot weather, but you’ll also avoid longer traffic times.

Only have a couple of hours to explore the most famous neighborhood? Even with 2-3 hours, you’ll have enough time to hit all of Beverly Hills’ hot spots. Whether you’re traveling by yourself or with a group, there are a handful of fun and romantic things to do in Beverly Hills.

You’ll immediately know when you’re in towns when you see lines of palm trees encompassing entire streets. If you walk right by the borders of Beverly Hills, you’ll understand exactly what I’m talking about. But without further ado, listed are the most fun things to do in Beverly Hills during your visit.

1. Rodeo Drive

C’mon now. We’ve all seen the infamous walkway that’s hands down one of Los Angeles’ most photographed and beloved icons. Wait to catch influencers circling around the block and maybe you’ll find yourself photobombed in one of their photos.

Home to the top luxury stores, Rodeo Drive runs two-miles long. The best time to visit Rodeo Drive is either during the day or late at night. And whenever you decide to visit, you’ll get an experience of a lifetime. Shop during the day and when you’re done, walk around the wander the streets at night.

Wine and dine at 208 Rodeo Restaurant and ensure that your table is outside. There’s nothing better than finishing off your day while watching people all around the world wandering around the mall.

Designed by Louis Vuitton’s grandson, Gaston-Louis, Louis Vuitton X brings together the Artycapucines collection, the original Capucines bags that’s been reinterpreted by six contemporary artists.

These bags are renowned by artists and designers: Karl Lagerfeld, Rei Kawakubo, Cindy Sherman, and Frank Gehry. Original collaborators incldue artists Yayoi Kusama, Richard Prince, and Zaha Hadid.

Cross your fingers that you plan on visiting during opening season and experience richness from Louis Vuitton’s ongoing dialogue between the past and the future. Don’t forget to stop by both floors while you’re in the exhibit and witness remarkable collectives of early twentieth-century art deco perfume bottles and special-order trunks.

Note: Due to the lockdown, the exhibit has not been open. But when stores start to slowly lift, the exhibit will be open from June 28 – November 10, 2019. Admission is also completely free.

6. Beverly Hills Garden

Make an entrance into Beverly Hills by taking a picture of yourself in front of this sign. This 40-foot sign is one of the most photographed spots in the city as it stretches down Santa Monica Blvd.

Whatever season you do decide to visit, you’ll come across a number of tourists trying to get themselves photographed. Or, maybe you’ll just come across locals jogging around the area. It’s a sign that you can’t miss and is definitely a staple of some of the top things to do in Beverly Hills.

7. Historic Cactus Garden

Located a couple of blocks from the Beverly Hills Garden Sign is a casual patch of cacti. You’d be surprised walking further down on Santa Monica Blvd just to find plants other than palm trees.

Initially when I was looking for the address to the garden, it didn’t show up on Google Maps. But I promise that as long as you walk further down the street, you can’t miss this spot.

Grab lunch to-go, sit along the ledges, and enjoy the shade while reading about the different families of cacti.

8. Beverly Hills 90210 House

Aired from October 1990 to May 2000, American TV show, Beverly Hills 90210, continues to hold its popularity. The set wasn’t physically located in Beverly Hills, but rather in Altadena. Located north of Pasadena and in the outskirts in Los Angeles, according to Zillow, this house is now worth $1.9 million.

9. Beverly Hills Public Library

Explore a collection of books and act like a local when you have free time during your visit. There is free 2-hour parking adjacent to the library, so no need to rush reading your favorite books.

If you’ve somehow lost your passport during your visit, you’re in luck. Swing by the library during open hours of operation and you’ve just got yourself a new passport.

Remember that LA County Libraries don’t take photos, so bring a 2″ x 2″ passport photograph. The background must be light colored, and you may not submit in school photographs. International passports cost $110 so once you’ve got those two checked off, you just got yourself a new passport. Getting stuck in Beverly Hills isn’t too bad, but it’s best to be safe than sorry.

10. Beverly Center

With over one hundred stores and services, Beverly Center’s monolithic eight-story structure offers more than just shopping. Taking over an entire block, this shopping giant is located at the edge of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. Phew, this just made the itinerary.

Explore stores, fashion, premier food, and trends that you may come across on social media. What’s great is that Beverly Center allows dogs if they’re small and carried by hand or in a dog carrier.

Have an ease of mind while you shop as shoppers get one free hour of parking in the 3rd valet with validation from a Beverly Center restaurant. Shopping and food? Can’t get any better than that.

11. Greystone Mansion and Gardens: The Doheny Estate

Surrounded by a vast 18.5 acres of land, The Doheny Estate, is registered as a historical landmark in Beverly Hills. Built in 1928, the Doheny family is now open to the public as its historical backdrop is now used for activities, such as wedding shoots and public events.

The estate is open to the public daily, but may be closed certain days for special events or holidays. There is also no parking fee and no park admission.

12. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Home

Don’t go out of your way if you can’t get here. But if you have spare time on your hands, drive north to witness an incredible, iconic home that you’ve probably watched on TV.

Can’t buy the home even if you wanted to? No need. Drive by to witness this giant and if you have a drone, even better. Get a bird eye’s view of this property. Literally.

The beautiful white mansion gives off an elegant presence as it sits on top of the hill. Beautifully designed, the price of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Home remains listed on Zillow as the price continues to drop from $12.75 to $7.9 million, and possibly even lower.

End Your Day

Tour Beverly Hills around sunrise, grab a cup of coffee, and complete your itinerary from dawn to dusk. Most things on this itinerary are free as you don’t need to go crazy. Well, maybe when there are huge discounts at the mall.

Plus, if you’re aiming to reach your step game for the day, you’ll reach it in no time. Beverly Hills has a handful of things to do that will make you feel like a Pretty Woman, or even a local for the day.
