Andy and I spent three nights at Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs with Rocket, our Pomsky pup, and I don’t think I’ve seen him happier on a trip. Having outdoor space right outside our room made the whole stay so easy, and I’d go back to Ace in a heartbeat.
So if you’re wondering whether Ace is a good dog-friendly hotel in Palm Springs, my answer is yes. The room is what made it work for us, so I’d look for one with a private patio and confirm it’s dog-friendly before you book.

Why the outdoor space worked so well with Rocket
We stayed in room 203 on the ground floor, and we could step right outside. Bathroom breaks were simple, we could hang out together on the patio or spend time by the pool, and getting back to the room was easy. Rocket loved going back and forth between the room and the patio.
There’s also a little dog area out back that came in handy for bathroom breaks. Ace’s pet-friendly page says it has water and pooper scoopers. Everywhere else on the property, dogs need to stay on a leash, even around gated areas.

Which room to book with a dog
My room recommendation is the Patio with Fireplace. Ace’s room descriptions list a king bed, an adjacent private patio with a lounge area and fire pit, and a view of the pool.
Room 203 had a walled patio with a fire pit, built-in lounge seating and a gate. I haven’t confirmed its official category, so I’m not saying it was a Patio with Fireplace, but that patio is what made our stay work. If you want the same setup, ask the hotel about room 203.
One thing to know: the room page labels the Patio with Garden as dog-friendly but doesn’t say the same about the Patio with Fireplace. If the Patio with Fireplace is the one you want, confirm it can be booked as a dog-friendly room. If you mainly want outdoor space and don’t need the pool view, the Patio with Garden also has a private patio.
You can compare room types and rates for your dates at Ace Hotel & Swim Club Palm Springs. Before you book, contact the hotel with your dog’s size and how many dogs you’re bringing, and ask them to confirm a dog-friendly patio room. If outdoor access is the main reason you’re choosing it, ask about a ground-floor location too.

Ace Hotel Palm Springs pet policy and pet fee
Yes, Ace Hotel & Swim Club Palm Springs is dog friendly. Its published pet policy, checked October 29, 2026, lists:
- $100 per stay for up to two dogs, plus $50 for a third. Three dogs maximum.
- Pet cleaning fees. The page says they apply but doesn’t list an amount.
- A guideline that dogs should be under 25 pounds. If yours is bigger, contact the hotel before booking to confirm whether they can accommodate them.
- A pet waiver to sign at check-in.
For reference, Rocket was about 6 months old and around 12 pounds on this trip, so he was well under that guideline.
These are the hotel’s published fees, not what we were charged on our hosted stay.
The pet page doesn’t say where dogs are allowed around the pool, whether they can go in the water, or whether you can leave a dog alone in the room. Ask about all three when you contact the hotel instead of assuming.
Is Ace loud? Pool music and the crowd
Being close to the pool was part of what I liked about our setup. We did hear loud music from the pool during our stay, but we didn’t mind it and were still able to fall asleep. Rocket was fine with it too. It wasn’t the loudest thing ever, and honestly, it’s a vibe.
If your dog is more sensitive to noise, Ace’s FAQ says the main pool has DJs on weekends. Ask what’s scheduled for your dates and whether a quieter room location would be better for your dog.
Someone at Koffi South, the coffee shop next door, told us Ace is known as a hotel for a younger crowd. But while we were there, we saw guests of all ages, from remote workers to a lot of families.

Resort fee, parking and check-in
From the hotel’s FAQ and the Booking.com listing, checked October 29, 2026:
- Address: 701 E. Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92264.
- Check-in: after 4 p.m. Checkout: 11 a.m.
- Resort fee: $45 per room per night, plus taxes. The FAQ says it includes Wi-Fi, bike rental, and gym and steam access.
- Self-parking: the hotel lists $10 per day. Booking.com lists $10 plus tax per car per night, so confirm the parking total for your reservation.
The hotel told us there are two places to park: along the side of the building past King’s Highway, the hotel’s diner, or in the back, where two doors lead to the rooms. We preferred the back. Spots are limited, but it was right there and made unloading our luggage easy.
Before you book, check the full total and cancellation terms for your dates, including whether any fees are already included. Our stay was hosted, so I can’t weigh in on value for the price.

Our nearby coffee stop at Koffi South
Koffi South is right next to Ace at 1700 South Camino Real, so it was an easy stop during our stay. I loved the Cold Brew Fusion, and we enjoyed the outdoor seating with Rocket.
Koffi South’s location page doesn’t list a dog policy, so check the current patio rules before planning to bring your dog. The South location’s number is 760-322-7776.

Would I stay at Ace with Rocket again?
Yes. The patio and easy outdoor access are why I’d book Ace again with him, and the pool music didn’t bother any of us. I’d recommend it if your dog fits the hotel’s size guideline and you want to be able to step outside together and get back to your room easily. If your dog is bigger than that or sensitive to noise, call the hotel before you book and ask about a quieter room location.
