Whether it’s researching, procrastinating, or surfing the internet, travel blogs provide a ton of information. Not only about the destination, but also the do’s and don’ts about cities. What you could expect when traveling to cities during different seasons. What their experience was like when visiting during the holidays, and the list goes on.
But along with how much is shared in these blogs, have you ever wondered, how often do travel bloggers travel? Really, now.
Conceptualize traveling and exploring around the world only to document experiences. Sounds like the dream, doesn’t it? And if you’re curious or are you’re interested in becoming a travel blogger, what are the things to consider to get there?
Traveling is a Commitment
Venturing out to beautiful destinations, there’s a lot to take in and document as a travel blogger. Yes, images showcase the beauties of travel but to keep a consistent blog, traveling is a commitment.
Not only do we take the time to research, but we also go out and explore these places. Travel bloggers seem to have a good life but to tell you the truth, we’re working all the time.
We’re figuring out the pros and cons of each destination, the perfect time to leave to catch sunrise and sunset, how to capture content, and where we plan on staying. Which, for at least one of the nights, we will probably car camp.

Consistently Producing Content
There isn’t a specified amount of time that a travel blogger actually travels. Some may only find the time to travel during PTO, or a collected number of days out of the year.
Depending on work ethic, some travel bloggers won’t switch locations every week in order to slow down between trips and production. But, you may find some who travel constantly and somehow find time to catch up with work on flights and trains.
Work ethic varies from person to person. If you’re traveling non-stop, you want to make sure you’re creating quality content. Content that showcase the most of these cities and landmarks. There will even be travel bloggers who don’t return home from traveling in order to stay in visited cities and make the most out of each destination. It truly depends on their work preferences.
Connecting With Your Audience
Travel bloggers connect their experiences in their articles as authentically as they can. This is an easy way to point out whether or not they’ve genuinely gone to the location or not. If a blogger talks about how you should look into buying a translator app when going abroad, it’s probably because they found a ton of value from having one.
How often do travel bloggers travel when providing these kind of connections? How relatable are they when sharing their experiences? As personal experiences are shown through their blogs, it’s important to ensure they’re reliable resources as well.
Maybe their car rental broke down but ended up eating at the closest restaurant only to experience the best wings. Or maybe they got lost trying to find a landmark and end up finding an unknown spot that made the trip.
Continuously as travel bloggers come with experiences, the do’s and don’ts will be recommended, as they give sound advice and prepare those who travel to these destinations.

Sacrificing a Lifestyle
Through social media, it’s easy visualizing beautiful content from around the globe. But, there’s so much more to it. Travel bloggers have to sacrifice a type of lifestyle in order to to maintain traveling full time either as their passion or job, or even both.
Many value settling down and raising a family in a dream home with a backyard. Some may want to build a home up with a back deck and grill, such as some Long Island houses for sale.
Truth to reality that as a travel blogger, it’s hard to continue producing content when staying in one place for too long. As long as you’re okay with spending moments traveling the world at a constant pace, there will always be a trade off.
Perhaps you find a significant other while traveling. Anna Lysakowska makes it work and has been traveling with her baby since he was only a month old. As the way Anna’s travels doesn’t necessarily look like the “norm” as a new mother, she’s picked up family travel as her new method of traveling.
Travel Blogger Reality
Some travel blogs can take years or even decades to come together. Remember that when adventure bloggers find travel to places, there’s always a rigorous amount of time training and planning. Plus, after the journey ends, writers still have to take the time to sit down and create content.
Traveling the world and documenting your experiences may seem like the utopian lifestyle. Don’t get me wrong, these experiences are breathtaking, but there will always be a pay off.
So, how often do travel bloggers travel? That all depends on the blogger, their work ethic, and the time it takes to produce content. If traveling isn’t your passion, commitment will be tough. But the moment you get over that hump, travel blogging creates a complete shift in lifestyle. Plus, you get to travel the world and share about your experiences. Do you want to become a full time travel blogger? Well, I guess there’s only one way to find out.
